As shown in the video below, John’s Pass Village and Boardwalk is a family friendly place to visit. It sits on the Intercoastal Highway (making it easy to access) and has become the #1 tourist attraction in Pinellas County, Florida. John’s Pass Village is part of the township of Madeira Beach which is 20 miles from Tampa International Airport, and 10 miles from St. Petersburg/Clearwater International Airport.
From shopping, to eating, seeing multiple dolphins or tasting your favorite yummy ice cream, there is something for everyone to enjoy here!

We ate dinner at MAD BEACH which is on the second level within John Pass. “Mad Beach” has become a HOT tourist destination. The food was absolutely delicious, the beer flavors are endless and the gaming area makes it a hit on the weekends. (Watch the video above to see more!)

BEST TIME TO VISIT
We suggest going towards the afternoon or evening during the summer unless your hoping on the jet skies and going for a ride. The sun gets hot and if you want to enjoy yourself and maybe even catch a rainbow or sunset like we did…evening is best! However, we love going across the street to the beach during the day and then enjoying the Boardwalk in the evening. (90% of the time we see the local dolphins by doing this too!)
Other fun activities you can do (most are not free) are:
1. Alligator & Wildlife Discovery Center
2. Dolphin Quest – An Eco-Friendly Dolphin Cruise Tour
3. Florida Tiki Tours
4. Locked Up Escape Room Experience
5. The Royal Conquest Pirate Ship Tour
6. Fly & High Waverunners and Parasail
7. Variety of Charter Boats
And that’s just to name a few.

Parking at John’s Pass
As far as I’m aware you always pay to park. You can do hourly or all day. Our Jeep was around $2.50 an hour. (Same as beach parking) If you can’t find parking in the Village don’t worry, just hop across the street and you will find parking for the same price! Look for the signs to redirect you!
Our overall experiences at John’s Pass have been nothing but positive! We even sometimes take our Pomsky puppy! (It is dog friendly for the most part) I hope this little bit of information helps you on your journey to John’s Pass Boardwalk & Village.
